I am interested in the way humans look to nature in order to understand the realities around them. Nature provides a rich resource, because we tend to draw what we consider our “absolute truths” from the natural world. Yet, there are many contradictions encompassed in the way plants, animals, and humans coexist. My art allows me to explore that tension and examine the beauty that can arise in spite of fear, violence, or chaos.
