Through the Window Learning to Fly Ghazil Bird Market Remains Iraqi Reconstruction Women of Faith Eastern Kingbirds
I have always been interested in the way humans look to nature in order to understand the realities around them.  Nature provides a rich resource, because we tend to draw what we consider our “absolute truths” from the natural world. Yet, there are many contradictions encompassed in the way plants, animals, and humans coexist. Birds are particularly poignant to me because of their historic use as symbols for varying human emotions.  My art allows me to explore those symbols and how we connect to them on a personal level.
